Representatives from the Franco-American Heritage Collection at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College participated in the “Franco-American Day” held recently in the Capitol building in Augusta. In recognition of the relocation of a Quebec Major Junior hockey team to Lewiston, the Collection display featured archival material on the history of hockey in Lewiston-Auburn. The display also included artifacts provided by the L-A Sports Hall of Fame.

The Heritage Collection promotes interest and study of local culture and history for students, faculty, and the community. An extensive archive of documents, photographs, and artifacts, it contains material on politics, religion, language, education, industry and business, theater and music, genealogy, Lewiston-Auburn history, and civic leaders.
