Our peer advisors are an integral part of the Student Services staff.
As a peer advisor, you will conduct individual orientation sessions
with prospective students and help them start the admissions and
financial aid application process; assist with registration and
administration of the placement test; assist in responding to requests
for LAC information: perform special projects for the professional
advising staff; provide assistance to the SGA and other student
organizations; assist with new student orientation and academic
skills workshops; and participate in the publication of the newsletter.
Some prior experience in peer advisor or a similar
position is desired. Students with no such experience generally
begin as peer advising associates.
