Counseling is available free of charge to all currently enrolled USM students at USM's Lewiston-Auburn College. Students may meet with the counselor for up to six sessions during an academic year. If more extensive treatment is required, the student will be referred to appropriate community resources.

All information gathered in counseling, including the fact that the student is receiving services, is held in strict confidence. This service is available to students who may be experiencing some of the following difficulties:

• Relationship Issues
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Substance Abuse
• Feeling Overwhelmed
• Couples Counseling
• Conflicts
• Disordered Eating
• Emotional Turmoil
• Life Changes
• Stress
• Grief or Loss
• Parenting Issues
