Robert Shetterly's Americans Who Tell the
Truth, September 2-December 19, 2008, a semester-long exhibition featuring 35
portraits of individuals who possess qualities of courage, honesty,
tolerance, generosity, wisdom, and compassion and whose contributions
have had a lasting effect on American life.
Area Artists 2009, January-March 2009, biennial open
juried exhibition of work by artists in Androscoggin, Franklin, and
Oxford counties.
Alice Spencer: Textiles/Translations, April-June 2009.
Exhibition of textiles from China, Mongolia, Bhutan,
Turkey, Guatemala, and other countries with strong textile
traditions combined with Spencer's work. Her paintings have
evolved as a response to her experiences with textiles and the
cultural and spiritual life of the makers.
Un point à temps: Historic samplers and needlework from USM Lewiston-Auburn College's Franco-American Collection, runs concurrently with Alice Spencer: Textiles/Translations
Stitches That Bind, April 17 - June 30, 2009 Members of the Lewiston-Auburn area group of the Southern Maine (SOME) Chapter, Embroiderers’ Guild of America, Inc., share their love of needlework in an exhibit that showcases techniques from around the world, including English samplers, Japanese Embroidery, and Scandinavian Hardanger. The embroidery guild provides a nurturing environment for exploration and development of needlework skills and friendships. The exhibit runs concurrently with Alice Spencer: Textiles/Translations in the main gallery.

200th birthday and 150th anniversary of the publication of his On the Origin of Species.
