INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDY ABROAD
Scholarship Award: Multiple awards, the number and amount of the scholarships will vary.
Eligibility: To be eligible: you must be approved for a study abroad program, undergraduate with a minimum academic grade average of 2.5. Financial need not required, but may be considered.
How to apply: you will automatically be considered upon completing of a Study Abroad Application
submitted by February 27th for summer or fall and October 1st for the spring semester. |

DARA J. KAUFMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDY ABROAD
Scholarship Award: One award in the amount of $5000.
Eligibility: To be eligible: you must have an overall GPA of 3.2 or higher, be a Maine resident, matriculated as an undergraduate degree candidate and demonstrate financial need.
How to apply: Completion of a Dara J. Kaufman Memorial Scholarship application submitted by February 27th for summer or fall and October 1st for the spring semester.

A. NYE BEMIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Scholarship Award: One scholarship of approximately $250.00 offered for the fall semester of study abroad.
Eligibility: you must be approved for a study abroad program, undergraduate with a minimum academic grade average of 2.5. Financial need not required, but may be considered.
How to apply: you will automatically be considered upon completing of a Study Abroad Application
submitted by February 27th for a fall semester of study abroad. |

DENA A. BROOKS INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship Award: One scholarship of approximately $650.00 offered for the fall semester of study abroad.
Eligibility: you must be approved for a study abroad program, undergraduate with a minimum academic grade average of 2.5. Financial need not required, but may be considered.

ROBERT WOODBURY INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS ~ International Student Exchange
Scholarship Award: Multiple awards which are equal to 12 credits worth of tuition.
Eligibility: you must be approved for a study abroad program with a reciprocal exchange program ONLY. Undergraduate with a minimum academic grade average of 2.5. Financial need not required, but may be considered.
How to apply: you will automatically be considered upon completing of a Study Abroad Application
submitted by February 27th for a fall semester of study abroad and October 1st for a spring semester of study abroad. |

Dorothy B. Padula Memorial Fund for Student Travel to Latin America
Scholarship Award: Multiple awards, the number and amount of the scholarships will vary.
Eligibility: Latin America travel or study, either graduate or undergraduate with a minimum academic grade point average of 2.5. Financial need not required, but may be considered. Formal study of Spanish language is also required.
How to apply: completion of a Dorthy B. Padula Memorial Fund application. Deadlines for submitting an application are February 27th and April 13th for the Fall semester and October 3rd and November 7th for the Spring semester. |

Summer Intensive Study Programs Scholarships
Scholarship Award: Multiple awards up to $500.
Eligibility: Acceptance into a USM Summer Session International Travel course. Either graduate or undergraduate with a minimum academic grade point average of 2.5 Financial need not required, but may be considered.
How to apply: completion of a Summer Intensive Study Program Scholarship Application submitted by March 6th.
Note: Students may apply for this scholarship even though they have not received formal admission to the international summer course. Students will need to provide proof that they have applied for the course as part of their application. If the student is awarded a scholarship they will need to show proof that they have been accepted into the program in order to receive the scholarship. |
