RESEARCH ASSOCIATE I: EPIDEMIOLOGY #8514

The Research Associate I will join a team of University of Southern Maine (USM) epidemiologists dedicated to building epidemiology capacity at USM and the Maine CDC (the state’s health department). This position will specifically focus on Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology, with the possibility of working with other team members in the area of Chronic Disease.  Working with other team members, the Research Associate I will provide surveillance and epidemiologic analysis support to multiple programs at the Maine CDC.

Qualifications:  Masters Degree in Epidemiology or related field, preferably from an accredited school of public health, and a minimum of 2 years related work experience. Statistical and programming skills, in SAS or similar software, are required. The ideal candidate will additionally be a creative team player with strong analytic, writing, and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and an interest in applied public health.
