USM is the comprehensive regional and urban institution in the University of Maine System which is comprised of Eight academic units on three campuses. The Portland campus is located in Maine’s largest city (population 65,000), within a thriving economic and cultural region of the state, on beautiful Casco Bay. Gorham is 10 miles from downtown Portland in the midst of scenic New England countryside. Lewiston-Auburn is located midway between the coast and the mountains, 30 minutes north of Portland.

Administrative Assistant I #8010 The individual provides complex administrative support and assists the Director of Finance in tracking and coordinating the financial operation of the 20 +/- accounts for the LAC budget. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: An Associate’s Degree and/or at least four (4) years of related experience, preferably in an academic setting; knowledge of accounting procedures; demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated computer skills to include MS Office Suite; ability to organize, prioritize, and flexibly reestablish work priorities; ability to multi-task; ability to make independent decisions; and the ability to work in a fast-paced team oriented environment. |
