Employment Services
Classified - Make Selection
Consider all the information gathered and make your selection. Have a primary
alternate in mind in case your top candidate does not accept. (Note that prior to
ESO approval is required if you need to interview additional candidates beyond those
already approved).
The job offer may be done verbally and does not need to be in writing. Negotiate
the start date with the individual, keeping in mind that the person may have to give two
weeks notice upon leaving the current employer. If there is a physical
exam requirement attached to the job, make the offer contingent on
passing the exam.
A new employee may not start work until they have
received their appointment letter. Once
Michelle Nadeau is contacted with the new hire information, it will take approximately one
week to ensure the employee receives the letter. Please make the appointment date
accordingly.
Once you've made the offer and the candidate has accepted, you
move on to completing administrative actions.
