Changing the Nature of a Position
Rules may differ depending on your bargaining unit. |
|
Various aspects of a position may change. Here are a couple of the most common along with an explanation of what is required.
Changing from part-time to full-time
-
Confirm that your budget will support it
-
Submit a Employee Data Change Form (pdf) to Payroll reflecting the change
Changing from full-time to part-time
- Your benefits will be affected. Please review the benefits summary
- Do you qualify for a "temporary mutual reduction"
Changing work year to less than 12 months
- As a full-time, salaried employee, you may work less than 12 months and still be considered "full time". You do not have to take consecutive months off, however, you do have to take a full month at a time.
