Larisa
Semenuk graduated from Case Western Reserve University
with a Doctorate of Nurse Practice in 1997. In 1991 she
received a BA from Cornell University majoring in
English and Women’s Studies. Her love of college health
began as a student at Cornell volunteering at the Health
Service on campus. As a National Health Service Corps
Scholar, she worked for 6 years in a rural community
health center in southwestern Maine before returning to
college health in 2003.
Larisa Semenuk, DNP is certified
by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the
American Nurses Credentialing Center as a family nurse
practitioner. Larisa has recently joined the Maine
Nurse Practitioner Association’s Legislative Committee
to support work that will help improve the health of
Mainers at a policy level.
At
USM, Larisa Semenuk is the Director of the Gorham Health
Services site overseeing clinical and administrative
work. She enjoys helping students to learn about their
bodies and how to keep them healthy. When not at work,
Larisa relaxes by hiking, sewing, and jogging. She
loves to build fairy houses and go letterboxing with her
husband and two daughters.
