Matriculated Graduate Students

Non-Matriculated Students
In most programs, students are eligible to take classes before being formally admitted to the program. However, due to accreditation rules and class size issues, some academic areas have restrictions on non-matriculated students (students who have not completed the admissions process and have not been formally admitted). If you are interested in a class offered by one of these programs, please follow these directions:
American & New England Studies (ANES)
Students wishing to register for ANES classes should contact the ANES Office at (207) 780-4920.
School of Business
Students wishing to register for 300 or above BUS classes must do so in the School of Business Office, 113 Luther Bonney Hall, Portland Campus. Students interested in MBA courses should contact the MBA Office at 780-4184 for an application or more information.
College of Education and Human Development
Please visit the College Web site for instructions on taking classes as a non-matriculated student.
College of Nursing and Health Professions
Non-matriculated students interested in taking a course should contact Dr. Marjorie Lawson directly at 780-4114.
Muskie School of Public Service
Non-matriculated students interested in taking Muskie School courses will need the permission of the department. For assistance and questions regarding the courses, contact the Muskie School Student Affairs Office in Room 117 of the Wishcamper Building on the Portland campus, by e-mail at mspssao@usm.maine.edu or by phone at (207) 780-4864.
School of Social Work
There are a limited number of MSW classes open to non-matriculated students. For information and registration please call Kitte Brennan in the MSW office at 780-4120.
