Academics

The University of Southern Maine offers an array of excellent master's degree programs in a variety of academic and professional fields. In keeping with USM's mission as a public comprehensive university, these programs reflect and respond to the educational needs of the state and the region.

Most of the graduate programs are available on either a part-time or full-time basis. Late afternoon and evening classes are offered to accommodate students who are also working professionals.

USM is pleased to announce that our Master of Social Work program has been granted accreditation by the Council for Social Work Education. This accreditation is retroactive to Fall 2001.
