GPS

Forest Service CBS Locations: This page focuses on forestry related GPS mapping and GIS applications, both C/A code and P code, with emphasis on receiver operation under forest canopy and in backcountry/wildland environments for land management.

GPS Constellation Status: Operated by the 2nd Space Operations Squadron at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado, GPS is the world's largest military satellite constellation and the world's only global utility.

HTDP: Horizontal Time Dependent Positioning software enables users to predict horizontal displacements and/or horizontal velocities related to crustal motion in the coterminous US and Alaska. The software also enables users to update geodetic positions and/or geodetic observations to a user-specified date.

National CORS: The NGS coordinates a network of continuously operating reference stations that provide GPS carrier phase and code range measurements in support of 3-dimensional positioning activities throughout the US and its territories.

National Geodetic Survey: The NGS defines and manages the National Spatial Reference System for the United States. It is the framework for transportation, communication, and defense systems,  boundary and property surveys, land record systems, and mapping and charting throughout the US.

OPUS: NGS's online positioning user service for GPS.
