Digital Survey Equipment-

Trimble GeoExplorer CE Series,  GeoXT, a GIS mapping grade GPS unit with a Windows CE device.  This is a hand held GPS unit with built in antenna (or hat-mounted or rod mounted external antenna as well).  This unit yields 2-3 meter precision that can be reduced to meter scale precision with post processing.  Unit has a Windows operating system using Trimble Terrasync data collection software, exports as ArcView shape files collected as points, lines or polygons, and downloads by direct cabling to laptop or desktop computers.

Trimble 5700 dual frequency receivers a survey-grade GPS receiver with Trimble TSC1 survey controllers.  Utilizes a rod or back pack mounted Zephyr GPS antennae.  Units can be used as stand alone with post processing or as rover units in real time kinematic mode where linked to a base receiver with tripod mounted geodetic antenna and broadcasting radio to send differential correction factors to the radio equipped rover receivers.  Units will yield 1-2 cm precisions and data is downloaded as ASCII format to PCMCIA flash cards for transfer to laptop or desktop computers.

SpectraPrecision Geodimeter GDM 608 series total stations, servo-driven with autolock and robotic capabilities using the Geodat Win minicomputer controllers.  Units will yield sub cm precisions with careful surveying and station establishment procedures.  Data storage and download in ASCII format onto PCMCIA flash cards for transfer to laptop or desktop computers.
