USM Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP)

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) funds student-faculty collaborations across all disciplines. Each year students are awarded fellowships for a one year research project. This results with a culminating experience in the annual "Thinking Matters" symposium, held in April of each year at USM. Application deadline for UROP is March 15, 2013.  *** Please note, current UROP fellows will be on hand to discuss their work on February 27 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at the Woodbury Center Amphitheater on the Portland campus. Their posters will be on display through March 1st. This is an excellent opportunity to explore what's happening in student research and learn more about UROP at USM.
