Gamma Theta Epsilon
ATTENTION GEOGRAPHY/ANTHROPOLOGY MAJORS
The Department of Geography-Anthropology has a chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the International Geographical Honors Society. If you are eligible and interested in joining, fill out he form below and return it to Lydia Savage. All members of GTU receive a certificate and are eligible to wear honor cords at commencement.
Requirements:
GPA-3.5
Completion of 36 credit hours.
Completion of a minimum 3 geography courses.
Membership fee of $25.
Purpose of GTU:
Further professional interest in geography.
Strengthen academic experiences.
Encourage student participation.
Provide an outlet for publication through The Geographical Bulletin.
Create and administer funds for graduate study.
Benefits of GTU:
Recognition for being an Honor Society.
Scholarship opportunity.
Nice addition to a resume.
You get to wear nifty honor cords at commencement and have your membership in GTU noted in the program!
