Summary of the Last Meeting

Meeting Feb 7, 2006 at 3pm
Fund-raising: Bake Sale Tuesday, February 28th in Portland. 10:30-1pm in Luther Bonney. Please bring something ready to sell (in bags or wrapped). We also need people to be there to sell. Email Danielle if you can be there.
Topics covered in the meeting: The D.C. trip is going to be postponed until next semester, when more people will be able to go. This semester we are looking into taking small trips to museums close by.
We have faculty approval and rooms to use in Bailey for the stone tool workshop. Date to be announced.
The next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 7th in the Portland student center at 3pm.

September 29-

* We talked about the bottle drive planned for this Saturday. Everyone is to meet at 10 am by the Water Tower in the big parking lot in Gorham. If it rains, we'll cancel the bottle drive.

* We discussed the bake sale for next Tuesday from noon-4 pm. It will be in the Luther Bonney lobby in Portland. There is a sign-up sheet for anyone interested in bringing food and/or working the table in the department lobby. Any help is greatly appreciated.

* We won't have a meeting next week because of the bake sale the day before, but we will resume our meetings the following Wednesday at the usual time of 10:45 am in the department office.

* We hope to have a departmental pizza lunch on Wednesday, November 17th. It will be an opportunity to get to know our two new faculty members better as well as discuss any questions people have about geography and anthropology. We're hoping to get people involved in our fields by showing them what we do and why it's so interesting.
