Fund Raisers

     *We're trying to raise money to help us attend the annual meetings and conferences. We need your help.*

 * The first bake sale of the season will be held on Tuesday, October 5th from noon-4 pm in the Luther Bonney lobby. There is a sign-up sheet in the Geography-Anthropology office for anyone wishing to contribute food and/or time. Feel free to stop in any time and say hello. We appreciate any help we can get.

 * We will be having our first bottle drive Saturday, October 2nd assuming there's no rain. Everyone will meet in the parking lot in Gorham out by the water tower at 10 am.

 * The department also has a bottle box for anyone to drop off bottles during classes located in the department office. If you wish to return the bottles yourself, please drop them off at Ron & Jan's Redemption Center on Rt. 35 in Standish between the intersections of Rts. 25 and 114. The GASA has an account there, so all you need to do is tell them the bottles are for USM's Geo-Anthro Student Association, and they will give 6 cents instead of 5 and 18 cents instead of 15 for wine and liquor bottles. They will record the amount on our card, and Paula will get a check from them later in the semester. She is also willing to return any bottles for people who can't make it to Standish.
