     I received my Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh. I have been teaching at the University of Southern Maine since 1987. I teach Introduction to Archaeology, Archaeology of South America, Archaeology of East Asia, Archaeology Laboratory Analysis, Models in Archaeology, Peoples of the North, North American Indians and Medical Anthropology. I am an instructor in American and New England Studies and teaches New England Historic Archaeology and Native American Cultures of New England. I teach the Environmental Archaeology Field School with a focus on the research interest of Prehistoric Maritime Adaptation in the Holocene. My long-term interest is the analysis of basketry and textiles.
