The Beehive Design Collective ArtTalk

The nationally renowned Beehive Collective based in Machias, Maine will give two free presentations at the University of Southern Maine, Robie Andrews Hall, Burnham Lounge, Gorham Campus on Thursday, February 9, 4:30-5:30 and Friday, February 10 from 1-2 pm.  Snow dates are February 17 and 18, same times and place. The Thursday afternoon presentation is The True Cost of Coal and the Friday midday presentation is Dismantling Monoculture. During their visit to USM, the Beehive Collective will conduct a workshop with a printmaking class and other USM students. The Beehive exhibit Dismantling Culture consisting of three banners will be on display in the Area Gallery, Woodbury Campus Center, USM Portland March 1-May 4. USM printmaking student work emerging from a Beehive workshop will be on view at the Area Gallery in April.
