Faculty and Staff

The institution's strength is measured by the quality of its faculty and staff who work together to shape well-rounded, intellectually curious individuals, prepared to tackle whatever challenges the future may hold.

NEW-Developing Online Courses

Faculty interested in developing and teaching online or "blended" courses (which consist of a combination of face-to-face and online instruction) should contact the Center for Technology-Enhanced Learning (CTEL) for assistance. CTEL course designers can help you adapt your traditional course to one that is taught partially or fully online. For resources on different instructional technologies, online pedagogies, and faculty Blackboard support, among other information, visit the CTEL Web site.

Employee Resources

Human Resources provides a wealth of information online. Browse through Working at USM: A Concise Guide for Employees, review benefit information or bargaining agreements. You might also want to check the University Holiday Schedule, see what staff development and training programs are available, or what corporate discounts are available.

Campus Resources

Look for the latest bestseller or order books or software at the USM Bookstores location nearest you, order computer equipment and supplies at the Campus Computer Store, enroll in a continuing education course to learn a work-related skill, and stay in shape by using the fitness equipment at the Sullivan Recreation and Fitness Complex in Portland or the Costello Sports Complex in Gorham.
