SUMMER 2011 PROJECT LISTING
Thank you in advance for your continued help and patience as we work through a very busy summer project schedule. These projects will greatly improve the physical environment for our students, faculty and staff.

GORHAM CAMPUS:
BAILEY HALL:
State energy bond funding affects most of the building. Classroom lighting, ventilation and building controls upgrades to increase efficiency and comfort.
Relocate Registrar, Student Accounts and Financial Aid from first floor Corthell Hall to west wing, first floor Bailey. This work will commence as soon as the spring semester ends.
Reconfigure classrooms 405/406 into one larger classroom.
Classroom 321 improvements; relocate computer lab here from 405, create a new classroom and seminar room.
Relocate ResNet to Upton Hall when Public Safety relocates to the former Child Care Center. Student Success will occupy the ResNet space in Bailey.
Lecture Hall Room 10 improvements.
Library renovations to support the Learning Commons initiative.
CORTHELL HALL:
The work in Corthell will take place in two phases: phase one this summer and phase two in the fall after the Registrar, Student Accounts and Financial Aid have been relocated to Bailey Hall.
Business Services move from Corthell to Anderson Hall this month, May 2011.
Corthell Hall interior renovations, summer and fall 2011. Create two music classrooms, student practice and instruction areas, new ticket booth and upgrades in student and faculty spaces.
ATHLETICS/HILL GYM:
HVAC replacement and upgrade for Fitness Center.
Fitness Center, Gym and court roof replacement.
Controls upgrade from pneumatic to direct digital control.
Installation of an artificial turf field on the current soccer field. (Private funding.)
ANDERSON AND UPTON HALLS:
Anderson and Upton Halls curtain wall and window upgrades. Constricted time may dictate the phasing of this project over two summers. Proposals and feedback from contractors due soon.
Relocate Public Safety from Upton to newly renovated space in the former Child Care Center on Husky Drive.
ACADEMY BUILDING AND FACILITIES:
Academy Building boiler replacement and conversion to natural gas.
Consolidation of Facilities Management offices and shops.
PORTLAND CAMPUS:
PAYSON SMITH:
Repair steps and patio facing campus green.
Renovation and improvements to Lecture Hall 303.
Transformer replacement and electrical vault work. There will be scheduled power outages, more information to follow.
LUTHER BONNEY:
State energy bond funding affects most of building. Lighting, classroom ventilation and building controls upgrades to increase efficiency, comfort and lighting.
The heating ventilation and cooling system is scheduled for extensive repair. This may necessitate temporarily relocating some of the student computer lab functions.
Lower roof replacement.
Classroom improvements in the 5‑story wing to include: furniture; paint; whiteboards; floor tile replacement, etc.
SCIENCE BUILDING:
State energy bond funding affects most of building. Classroom, office and laboratory lighting, ventilation/air conditioning and building controls upgrades to increase efficiency, comfort and lighting.
Renovation and improvements to Lecture Hall 165.
Bioscience Wing fume hood exhaust system upgrade.
Roof replacement for both roofs of the A wing.
Generator replacement in the basement of the A Wing to include revised emergency power circuits.
Data Center renovations and upgrades.
Fit‑out of third floor of the Research Wing with new laboratory. (Federal funding.)
LAW BUILDING:
Finish the installation and start‑up of the new HVAC chiller installation.
Transformer replacement and electrical vault work (off‑hour power shut downs are anticipated).
Audio‑visual installation in the Law School Moot Court Room.
Minor renovations and staff moves.
MASTERTON HALL:
Repair steps leading to parking lot.
Renovations for new Learning Resource Nursing Simulation Center. (Federal funding.)
ABROMSON COMMUNITY EDUCATION CENTER:
Abromson Community Education Center and Alumni Skywalk (pedestrian bridge) glazing repair – Skywalk will be closed from May 23 to May 28.
Parking Garage lighting efficiency upgrade.
CHAMBERLAIN AVENUE:
7 and 15 Chamberlain, painting and maintenance work.
WISHCAMPER CENTER:
Installation of Percent for Art in Wishcamper Forum.
WOODBURY CAMPUS CENTER:
North exterior wall repair.
