University of Southern Maine Assistant Director for Sustainable Programs Tyler Kidder and Resource Recovery Supervisor Steve Sweeney were chosen to receive the 2013 Community eco-Excellence Award for Gorham and, then, went on to win the Grand Award as best from 22 communities.

The Department of Facilities Management has conducted a search to replace the Director of Engineering & Architecture position. It is my pleasure to inform the University community that our own Adam Thibodeau is the new Director of Engineering & Architecture.

The office of Facilities Management on the Portland campus has now returned to it's home at 25 Bedford Street!

Effective Friday, April 13th, the 25 Bedford Street Facilities office will be moved temporarily to the Science Building. Daily business will be conducted out of room 161.

The Facilities Management office has updated our key request form to allow it be completed electronically! We have also added a form to be completed when returning keys.

Facilities Management is currently in the process of phasing in a new collection system and new signage in Portland and Gorham to better serve our students and employees.
