Class Information: Journal Entry I and II

 

Length of Class: 6 hour(s)

Class Overview: This is TWO three hour classes.

As a replacement of the Journal Voucher (JV) and Budget entry (BU and BD) systems in FAST, Peoplesoft has a single system - Journal Entry (JE) - that accomplishes both functions.

(JE I) This class will introduce you to the new JE System and teach you to become conversant in its use.

(JE II)Building on JE I experience, this class will expand your knowledge of the JE process, will povide additional opportunities to ask questions.

Class Objectives:
1. (JE I) Introduction to the new JE System.
2. (JE I) Understand how panels are structured and function.
3. (JE I) Learn how to use JE through hands-on exercises.
4. (JE II) Understand how panels are structure, function and interface with the basic JE system.
5. (JE II) Learn how to use the template through hands on exercises.
6. (JE II) Learn how to upload the results into the JE system for further processing.
