Preparations for the financials implementation have continued since How Business is Changing at UMS was taught at USM in Fall 2004. Throughout the spring, campus trainers worked with staff at Project Enterprise, providing feedback on many areas of project development. In addition, over 100 USM employees completed training in specialized areas of Requisition and Receiving, Accounts Payable, Journal Entry, Travel Expense and General Ledger.
During the next several weeks a number of training sessions for GL Inquiry, the WebFAST replacement, will be offered at USM. It is a very important class for all staff whose job responsibilities include the need to understand University budgets, chart of accounts, budget reconciliation or financials for grants and contracts.
Class times and dates for GL Inquiry, can be found at http://www.maine.edu/system/pe/fin_mgmt.php. All classes are open sessions and RSVPS are not requested. This page will also contain updates to the implementation plan, including post go-live training opportunities when scheduled, so please check frequently in the days leading up to July 5.
