D.E.S.'s Karen Wilson and Theo Willis are two of the researchers featured in the documentary "Desperate Alewives" that premiered on Tuesday, September 27, 2011, on the stations of the Maine Public Broadcasting Network. The film in the first installment of the Sustainability Maine series and chronicles a multi-institutional research project investigating the biological, economic and social restoration potential of the Androscoggin and Kennebec river and the nearshore marine ecosystems.
