Celina graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in 2000, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. While at WPIshe completed her senior qualifying project at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. There she researched the properties of solder at cryogenic temperatures, to be used on satellite applications.
Upon graduation she was accepted into the Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) at BAE Systems in Nashua, NH. During this three year program she was trained in circuit card manufacturing, soldering, lean manufacturing and leadership skills. She also worked toward earning her MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, which she completed in 2005.
Prior to teaching at USM, Celina worked at Bath Iron Works (BIW) as a piping engineer, where she helped to design the piping systems for the Navy's Zumwalt Class Destroyers.
