Participants will have an understanding of streotyping and its impact on communication. This workshop will focus on the idea that race is not homogenic. We will use the video the "Color of Fear," as it helps to show how hard the process is for changing attitudes about race. |

Participants will learn how to apply University policies and comply with State and federal laws regarding the inter-relatedness of various employment policies and laws, they will also learn about the tools and resources available to them in applying those policies and laws in the workplace. |
Sexual Harassment

Participants will learn about University policies regarding illegal discrimination, equal opportunity and sexual harassment in the workplace. They will also learn about the role of the supervisor in identifying harassment situations, about self-protection strategies and where to access resources for addressing equal opportunity and complaint issues. |
Managing a Diverse Workforce

Participants will learn to identify skills that build a multicultural environment, and enhance effectiveness in working with people of different backgrounds and generations through surfacing and examining assumptions that are barriers to inclusion. |
