Linda Evans is the Field Placement Coordinator/Certification Specialist in the Office of Educator Preparation. Prior to this new position, she served as Director of Multicultural Education Programs (Newcomer ETEP) within the School of Education & Human Development. Linda has a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Certificate in Special Education from McGill University, a M.S. in Literacy Education, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Adult Learning, and a Certificate of Graduate Study in Culturally Responsive Practice from USM. She is a Maine certified (K-8) teacher. Linda has fifteen years experience teaching English-as-a-Second Language in the United States and Canada, and ten years managing grant-funded programs. She is bilingual and bicultural and holds dual citizenship in Canada and the United States.
