EAST Program for STEM Students
Eight EAST students conducting internships in Spring 2013

For Spring semester EAST has awarded eight internships in Computer Science, Environmental Science, Technology, and Biology. Jason Smith, a senior in Environmental Science, is developing protocols for using Plant Canopy Imager technology to measure cover and closure of the forest canopy. Smith's mentor is Dr. Joseph Staples.
