Immigrants and Refugees (non-native speakers of English) who intend to study full- or part-time at USM either as non-matriculated special students or matriculated degree students.


Students participating in the ESL program at USM respresent over 30 countries and languages. Some take ESL courses as prerequisites for future academic courses, while other want to improve their English language skills for work, other University study, or personal satisfaction.
