New Director of Online Learning and Teaching: Khusro Kidwai

We are so very excited to welcome Khusro Kidwai to our staff beginning July 30.  

 As you may know, Khusro is coming to us from Penn State, where he is currently the Chief Learning Architect for the Research and Development Initiative at the John A. Dutton e-Education Institute.  The John A. Dutton e-Education Institute employs learning designers who work with faculty members associated  with the College of Earth and Mineral Science's academic departments to design, create, maintain, and evaluate certificate and degree programs offered to adult professionals worldwide via the web and other distance learning modalities. He comes to us with 10+ years of experience designing learning for online and face-to-face courses.  He received his Ph.D in Instructional Systems at Penn State. 

We are so very fortunate to have Khusro joining our PCE team!  He is a very intelligent, successful, and  wonderful young man who, I believe, can help us lead USM to the next level in online education.  Khusro has the experience in learning design innovation that will help us optimize our potential and align our vision with emerging practices in online education across the country.
