Undergraduate Student Leads Writing of Published Book Chapter
USM's Wise Laboratory of Environmental and Genetic Toxicology recently announced it's newly published book chapter entitled "Skin Biopsy Applications in Free Ranging Marine Mammals: A Case Study of Whale Skin Biopsies as a Valuable and Essential Tool for Studying Marine Mammal Toxicology and Conservation."
The chapter writing was led by Catherine Wise, an undergraduate biology major, and describes the current approach the lab is using to understand the impacts of pollutants on whales.
