FLIR Mobile Training Unit to Make First Visit to Northern New England at USM
FLIR Systems, a world leader in Thermal Imaging, will be bringing its Mobile Training Unit (MTU) to Maine and Northern New England for the first time on Friday, May 11, 2012. As part of a national tour, the MTU will be making a stop at the University of Southern Maine’s Applied Energy Lab Test House on the Gorham Campus. USM’s Department of Environmental Science, along with Monroe Infrared Technology, Inc., is hosting the FLIR MTU in order to provide businesses, students, and the general public with an opportunity to learn about thermal imaging applications, products, and techniques that can be used as part of a predictive maintenance program. Guests will be able to evaluate and experience a variety of the company’s products including the first predictive maintenance camera under $20,000 with high definition. This event is free and open to the public. For more information and to RSVP your attendance, please contact Peggy Welch at MIT, 800-221-0163.
