What Can I Do With A Major In...

OCCUPATIONAL POSSIBILITIES


MUSICIAN

A musician can wear many hats. S/he could sing, play an instrument, compose or arrange music, or be a conductor. The musician could do any or many of these things both live or recorded.

Educational Requirements

A Bachelor's degree (or higher is a plus). Work experience is a must.

MUSIC DIRECTOR

A music director leads or directs an instrumental music group. S/he is also responsible for choosing and interpreting music selections for the group. A conductor is also responsible for auditioning possible musicians for the group and achieving desired musical effects.

Educational requirements may include a Bachelor's degree or higher with extensive work experience.
