Provide direct/indirect client services establishing eligibility for services for clients and help clients obtain them.

Educational Requirements

A bachelor's degree is required. A Masters degree is usually needed to do Medical and Psycological Social Work

SOCIAL WORKER

Help people deal with a wide range of problems; helping with mental illness, inadequate housing, unemployment, lack of job skills, serious illness, disability, substance abuse, antisocial behavior, and provide counseling.

A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirment for most jobs. Educational requirements will include Licensing tests.

SAMPLE JOBS

Case Management Supervisor
Provide skill development direct support, and group services focused on people's goals of recovery, self-management of mental illness and development of natural supports in the community.
Qualifications: Masters Degree in Social Work or related field and be eligible for licensure as an LCSW, LMSW, or LCPC; minimum of three years work experience with persons with mental illness; one year experience in case work supervision required; must have strong beliefs in recovery and PSR principles and love of supervision and working within teams.

Outreach Case Manager-
Provide aggressive outreach to persons not serviced by the traditional mental health delivery system.
Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Social Work or closely related field; must be certified at the MHRT II level or eligible for certification and have three years directly related experience.

Youth and Family Counselors:
Working with children with emotional and behavioral problems at several programs located throughout Southern Maine. Opening include full time as well as relief or substitute positions, day/evening hours as well as awake overnight hours located in residential and community settings.
Qualifications: None given

Youth and Community Outreach Coordinator
Facilitate male and female multi-cultural youth groups offering support and education to low income youths, families and communities through training opportunities, recreational programming and networking.
Qualifications: Knowledge of high risk youth issues, community experience and believing in the next generation a must; BS in Human Services or related field; experience facilitating youth groups and managing conflict resolution preferred; evening hours required; clean driving record required.

Program Director Evodia House -
Responsible for overall administration of the program, a residential substance abuse facility. Other jobs listed included: Community Support Worker, Community Support Case Workers, Counseling, Senior Residential Advisor.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Master's Degree in Administration, Social Work, Nursing or in a Human Services related field or equivalent and at least five years experience in human services with a minimum of three years administration. Experience in drug and alcoholism services is preferred. Top
