  •  Occupational Outlook Handbook - Every two years the U.S Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics puts out a revised handbook describing what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects in a wide range of occupations.  This is a great resource.
     

  • Indeed.com, the most comprehensive search engine for jobs. It is an incredible tool for job seekers,  and is completely free. In one search, Indeed gives students instant access to millions of jobs and internships from sources such as Monster, HotJobs, CareerBuilder, the New York Times and Fortune 500 corporate websites. It draws from thousands of other sources as well, including small industry-specific job boards, local newspapers and associations.
     

  • CareerBuilder.com - thousands of jobs that are easily searchable.
     

  • CollegeGrad.com - is the #1 entry level job site, with extensive information on careers, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, salary information, employer research and entry level job postings.

  • Employment Times -Whether you’re in need of educational or career advancement resources or are looking for a job, the Employment Times is ready to assist you.

  • WetFeet.com - Excellent research site for industry overviews and company profiles, typical job descriptions, salary and location information.

  •  Vault.com - Career information, job and internship searches, resume review, current industry trends, company profiles and more.
  • The Riley Guide -The Riley Guide by Margaret Riley, formerly of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, is internationally recognized as being the best career resource on the Internet. Includes a section on how to use the Internet in your search.

  • JobWeb.com - Web site for seniors, graduates looking for a job or changing jobs.  Employer database, online career fair, feature article library, resume & interview tips.

  • ScienceJobs.com - is the perfect resource for students actively looking for a position in science or those just thinking about their future careers. Free features such as Email Alerts and a Resume Database.
     

  • Monster.com -This is where the Northeast's hottest companies - and companies around the country that want to attract you - are advertising right now.

  • Federal Jobs Net - Are you considering a government job? The federal government employs more than 2,715,000 workers and hires hundreds of thousands each year to replace civil service workers that transfer to other federal jobs, retire, or stop working for other reasons.

  •  USA Jobs- The Federal Government's official site for Federal jobs and employment information.

  • Student Jobs - The Federal Government's official site for student Federal employment and internship information.

  • Maine Classified - This is the Portland Press Herald and Maine Sunday Telegrams Classified section online.

  • MaineCareerCenter.com-The Maine Career Center is a great way to start career searching in the State of Maine.

  • JobsInMe.com- This web site contains a Maine employment site for full-time, part-time, summer and temp jobs. Search for jobs or post resumes and help wanted classified ads. Career advice, job fairs, salary info and more.

  •  Salary/Cost-of-Living Data- Nationwide salary survey, cost-of-living calculator, estimated relocation costs and other useful labor resources.

  •   SchoolSpring.com, EducationAmerica.com , Teachers-Teachers.com - These three web sites are excellent for finding teaching and education jobs and resources in Maine and throughout the country.

  • Educator Vacancies on the Web- More school districts each year are posting their educator vacancies on the Web, and encouraging candidates to apply online. Many state departments of education are now serving as portals for Web-listed vacancies in their states.
