Sandra Wachholz received her Ph.D. from the Criminal Justice Center at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. She teaches Criminological Inquiry, Criminology, Law and State, Criminology in Sweden, and Crimes Against the Environment. Her research focuses on hate crimes against the homeless, the gender-differentiated impacts of climate change, and knowledge and attitudes about climate change. She complements her academic work with involvement in environmental and social justice organizations. She was a Fulbright Scholar in Sweden.
