Cell phone technology published in the Chronicle of Higher Education
The August 21, 2011 issue of the Chronicle of Higher Education features a conversation with USM Computer Science Professor Bruce MacLeod regarding the work he and several students do with his research partner, James F. Phillips of Columbia University. Using cellphone technology to provide a lifeline between health care services and patients in rural communities in Ghana, this research provides productive interactions between individuals and their health care providers, and leads to positive implications for use in other developing countries.
