(800) 778-7953: "Medical Travel Inc." is a full service,
medical travel agency that caters to travelers with special needs
their families and friends. It can arrange accessible cruises
and land vacations for wheelchair users, persons on dialysis,
persons on oxygen and more. It can also arrange family vacations
for persons who are terminally ill. Medtravel also provides scooter,
wheelchair, van and housing rentals. Special travel insurance
arrangements can be made so that if a vacation is terminated by
illness, money can be returned for the vacation days missed.

which has been in business for over 20 years, provides safe, supervised
vacation experiences for adults with developmental disabilities.
Trips are limited to 6 to 8 persons traveling with two staff escorts.
Vacations have included trips to coastal New England, New York's
1000 Islands, national parks, historic cities and more.
Society
for Accessible Travel and Hospitality (SATH) (www.sath.org)

a nonprofit, educational organization for travelers with disabilities
and professionals in the tourism industry. SATH provides travel
tips for persons with specific disabilities such as kidney disease,
visual impairment, speech impairment, and arthritis etc. and publishes
"Open World" magazine to inform elderly and disabled
travelers about travel options, access, regulations affecting
disability travel and more. The web site has an extensive list
of print and Internet "disability travel" resources.
"Scootaround"

national company that provides scooter and wheelchair rental to
mobility impaired persons who are traveling for vacation or business
and choose to leave their own mobility devices at home. The company
serves 400 locations in the USA and will deliver devices to hotels
or vacation residences on request.

in business for over 30 years, provides professionally supervised
