Making a short club is simple and inexpensive. Use a pipe a cutter to cut off the upper club shaft. Using strips of carpet tape, build up the remaining shaft until it is thick enough to hold a new grip. Use liquid tape activator to temporarily reduce tape stickiness so that the grip can be slipped on. Grips and tape activator can be bought at golf equipment stores.
