Welcome to Kappa Zeta-at-Large Chapter

seal

Sigma Theta Tau is the International Nursing Honor Society. The globe is divided into regions. Our region is outlined on the map (below).

Within that region, our chapter Kappa Zeta at-Large, strives to emulate their activities by promoting leadership and scholarship in practice, education and research toward the goal of enhancing the health of all people.

We promote knowledge and professional development among our members and, in so doing, strive to improve nursing care worldwide.

Honor Society Induction information

Kappa Zeta at-Large chapter includes the baccalaureate programs of southern Maine--namely the University of Southern Maine, Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, and the University of New England. To be considered for the Sigma Theta Tau, a student in an undergraduate or graduate nursing degree program must reach stringent requirements by the national bylaws. These bylaws require you to have completed most of your nursing coursework, and be in the upper percentiles of your nursing class. The counselors for each school will contact students who are eligible for induction. Undergraduate and graduate requirements differ. Some schools invite candidates to a presentation/tea to learn more about the honor society. In addition, we have a community leader category; those nurses interested in being inducted must have a BSN or higher degree and contact us to help you obtain your 2 member references.”
