Welcome to Kappa Zeta-at-Large Chapter

seal

Sigma Theta Tau is the International Nursing Honor Society. The globe is divided into regions. Our region is outlined on the map (below).

Within that region, our chapter Kappa Zeta at-Large, strives to emulate their activities by promoting leadership and scholarship in practice, education and research toward the goal of enhancing the health of all people.

We promote knowledge and professional development among our members and, in so doing, strive to improve nursing care worldwide.

Honor Society Induction information

Kappa Zeta at-Large chapter includes the baccalaureate programs of southern Maine--namely the University of Southern Maine, Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, and the University of New England. Nursing students from these bachelor’s and graduate degree programs will be contacted by their school’s designated counselor if they meet criteria established by International bylaws. At the time they are contacted, a student may choose to join the International Nursing Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau. Nurses who hold a bachelor’s degree, or above (in nursing) are eligible to be invited or to self nominate. This category is designed to induct nursing leaders. Excellence can be seen at the bedside in clinical scholars as well as in academia.
