Faculty Handbook Elaine Wright, Director, Dept. of Learning Foundations. The USM Learning Center locates free tutorial services. Tutorial support is available in the areas of mathematics, writing, study skills, and English as a Second Language in the Portland Campus location, 253 Luther Bonny Hall. Tutoring for mathematics only will be available at the Gorham location in 115 Bailey Hall. USM Athletes will find Center math, study skills, and writing support in the Costello Sports Complex. All tutors participate in a nationally certified tutor training program and are recommended by faculty. Students needing assistance in the area of test taking skills should contact the Director at 780-4691.
