University of Southern Maine is a great place to meet! More and more people are thinking of college and university campuses when they need to conduct meetings, workshops and seminars. USM offers the perfect educational setting for your event.

If you are looking for a comfortable and less expensive alternative, USM may be perfect for you. We have a variety of meeting/banquet rooms, as well as traditional classrooms, lecture halls, and amphitheaters, including our new University Events Room at the top of the USM Glickman Family Library, boasting one of the best views in the State of Maine.

USM's Abromson Community Education Center, features a state-of-the-art lecture hall and meeting rooms that are available for rent.

The University of Southern Maine is ideally located in beautiful southern Maine, with two main campuses in Portland and Gorham. The overnight rooms on our Gorham campus (12 miles inland from Portland) are affordable for large groups, and we also have an in-town dormitory, Portland Hall, located in the heart of the Arts District for smaller groups.

Although through-the-line "all you can eat" cafeteria style dining is available, our banquet meals are excellent. Our onsite caterer, ARAMARK provides menus that are not your typical college fare and private dining rooms can be dressed up elegantly. Maybe a lobster bake in Maine is more your style? They are always fun and we would be happy to arrange one onsite or off. A package price on a combination of these can be worked up depending on the number of private banquets, cafeteria meals, or overnights your group needs.

Due to the large numbers of classrooms and meeting space at USM it would be difficult to describe each and every available room. Of course, a tour of our facilities can be arranged at your convenience.
