Preble St Resource Center is an organization that works to help the impoverished and homeless population of Portland. There are a number of ways for groups to volunteer, but the most popular is serving in their soup kitchen. Habitat for Humanity

Partners for World Health
Partners for World Health works to provide healthcare to developing nations by collecting sterile medical equipment ( such as wheel chairs, crutches, ect) that has been discarded due to American medical regulations, and redistributing it to communities in need. Volunteers are always needed to help sort the medical equipment in their Scarborough warehouse.
