Dr. Jonathan Nichols-Pethick, Associate Professor of Media Studies in the Department of Communication & Theatre at DePauw University and a graduate of USM's Communication department, has dedicated his new book, TV Cops: The Contemporary American Television Police Drama, to his mentor, Dr. Kathryn Lasky.  Dr. Lasky  developed a Media Arts concentration in the Communication department that later evolved into the Media Studies major.
