Faculty – Chemistry #9505
The University of Southern Maine invites applications for a tenure-track position
as an Assistant Professor in Biochemistry beginning fall 2010. Ph.D. required by
time of appointment. Candidates interested in pursuing collaborative research
efforts with existing USM faculty are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate
will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, an active research program
with potential for external funding, and the ability to engage undergraduate students
in collaborative laboratory-based research. The department is committed to building

Part-Time Positions
The Chemistry
Department frequently needs part-time faculty to teach lecture and/or
laboratory sections of the following courses:
Individuals who are
interested in teaching CHY 100, 105, or 110K must have a Ph.D. in
chemistry or biochemistry. For the laboratory courses, preference
will be given to applicants who have at least a master’s degree in
chemistry. If you would like to be considered for one of these
