Part time positions
The Chemistry Department frequently needs part-time faculty to teach lecture and/or laboratory sections of the following courses:
- CHY 100 Foundations for College Chemistry
- CHY 105 Chemistry for the Health Sciences
- CHY 106 Chemistry Laboratory for Health Sciences
- CHY 110K Chemistry, Life, and the Environment
- CHY 114K Laboratory Techniques I
- CHY 116 Laboratory Techniques II
- CHY 252 Organic Chemistry Laboratory I
Individuals who are interested in teaching CHY 100, 105, or 110K must have a Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry. For the laboratory courses, preference will be given to applicants who have at least a master’s degree in chemistry. USM Chemistry Club
The USM Chemistry Club is an ACS Student Chapter that works to educate and entertain students in K-12 about the principles of chemistry through engaging demonstrations.
In addition to performing demonstrations, the USM Chemistry Club presents chemistry research from a variety of fields at the annual national ACS conference.
