CEHD Diversity Action Plan (2007-2010)
CEHD created a three-year Diversity Action Plan as part of a University-wide initiative entitled "A Diverse Education is a Quality Education.”
As part of this initiative, USM dedicated itself to the investigation, creation, and implementation of intercultural structures and practices. Each academic and administrative unit created a Diversity Action Plan that supported USM’s broad commitments to diversity:
- Shaping the curriculum to reflect our multicultural society;
- Achieving continued and sustained success in recruitment and retention of a diverse faculty, staff and student body;
- Sustaining a climate that encourages and integrates differences;
- Inspiring its members to find their authentic voices; and becoming civically engaged; and
- Recognizing the interdependence, and dignity of all participants.
