The University of Southern Maine Alumni Association has more than 27,000 members representing alumni of its seven predecessor institutions ( Gorham Normal School, Gorham State Teachers College, Portland Junior College, Portland University, University of Maine-Portland, Gorham State College, and the University of Maine at Portland-Gorham) and the graduates of the University of Southern Maine. The Alumni Association serves graduates, current students, and members of the University community at-large.
The Association has many Chapters, several of which are affiliated with the College of Education and Human Development. In addition, the College has a number of organizations that serve students and alumni.
